Urea Reactor Vessels operate at extreme conditions — 150–200 Bar pressure and 180-190°C temperature — for the synthesis of urea from ammonia and CO2. Materials must resist the highly corrosive ammonium carbamate intermediate.

  • 316L stainless steel with corrosion-resistant passive layer formation
  • Sieve trays (or packing) for liquid distribution inside the reactor
  • ASME Section VIII Division 2 (higher design efficiency for high-pressure vessels)
  • All welds 100% radiographed and stress-relieved (PWHT)
  • Carbamate-resistant SS 316L or Duplex 2205 for stripper service
